Previously involved in the traditional fine arts such as drawing, painting, and sculpting at the University of Saskatchewan, I have recently expanded my horizons to complete my MFA in Documentary Media at Ryerson University. Although my earlier practices were mostly about abstract concepts, the ‘real’ aspect of documentary media can be explored further to convey the abstract as well. This is where new media documentary can be useful in my own artistic endeavors.
